Privacy Awards – Koun3labal- Edition of 2018

Following the success of the 2016 edition amongst young YouTubers, with over thirty videos entering the competition, totalling over 150,000 views, twenty-one of which were selected and posted on the Award’s website www.privacyawards.koun3labal.cndp.ma, the CNDP (Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel) is organizing the 2nd edition of the “Privacy Award”, the national privacy and personal data protection award. This year, the competition will be organized with the support of the DCAF (Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces).

The award is open to YouTubers and video and animated image creators. The award will be presented to the best privacy and data protection awareness video created and posted on YouTube. Entry to the award is free of charge, and is made exclusively on the www.privacyawards.koun3labal.cndp.ma award platform.

The central theme of the videos should be privacy and personal data protection. The videos produced are designed, on the one hand, to raise awareness of the problems and risks associated with personal data breaches, and, on the other, to promote best practices in the use of data on the Internet.

The forms of videos selected for this prize are: podcasts, motion design, short films, stop motion and photo/video montages.

The awards will be presented in the form of two trophies: the Jury Prize and the Audience Prize. Each of these prizes will be accompanied by a cheque of 30,000 Dhs (thirty thousand Dhs). The videos will be chosen by the audience directly according to the number of views on YouTube. As for the Jury's choice, it will be based on a set of criteria such as: the originality of the video, the message, the design quality...
